As the chief information officer for IASIS Healthcare, Brian Loflin oversees all of the information technology operations for the company’s 17 hospitals and nearly 13,000 employees. Specifically, his responsibilities include developing the overall IT strategy for the $3.2 billion healthcare system and managing the roadmap of various system installations. Prior to becoming IASIS CIO in 2004, Loflin held the manager of information systems operations, director of information systems and HBOC technical manager positions for the company. Early in his career, he worked for Superior Consultant Corporation, Carolinas HealthCare System and Rowan Regional Medical Center in various systems and programmer consultant and analyst roles. Loflin earned a master in healthcare administration from Seton Hall University and a bachelor of science in business administration from Western Carolina University.
